It was such a joyful Sunday of March 15, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church and primary school - Katete in Mukono district during the Baptism of eight souls and confirmation of four others.
During that same service, 12 primary seven candidates were also dedicated to God as they prepare to sit for their National Exams come 30th and 31st this month. The primary seven candidates were franked by their parents and teachers.
In his sermon, the area Pastor Rev. James Akuwa who represented the National Presiding Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Uganda the Rt. Rev. Charles Isabirye Bameka who was on other pastoral duties, challenged that Christians and candidates to put their trust in God whom he said all Good things come from. Christians also received Holy Communion.
Anita Lydia Basilika Nakabuye the Finance and Administration Manager at Lutheran Church of Uganda applauded the good working relationship between the teachers, parents and pupils that have resulted into good performance of the school for the last three years.
In her submission, the Assistant Education Coordinator LCU, Justine Arinaitwe Baruga was impressed with the development in the area. He commented Project Hope for partnering with LCU to spur such progress.
The head teacher Zion Lutheran Primary school Ndhaladhi Ronald assured parents and Christians that they have proficiently prepared candidates to face the National exams.
He was optimistic that this year’s candidates irrespective of the Covid 19 disturbances will performer better than the previous years.
